Normal vital signs for an adult

General reference values for a resting adult: temperature (oral) about 36.5–37.5 °C; pulse 60–100 beats per minute; respirations 12–20 breaths per minute; blood pressure normal below 120/80 mmHg; oxygen saturation (SpO₂) 95–100%.

These are general reference values, not universal treatment targets. Readings are always interpreted against the patient's own baseline and the rest of the pattern.
